Broker/REALTOR
At age 40, I am in my fourth year in the real estate business. I started as a full-time buyer's agent at Coldwell Banker in 2007 and in 2010 migrated to general brokerage landing at RE/MAX Essential. Prior to becoming a REALTOR, I was a basketball coach for 15 years with eleven at the junior college level including five seasons as head coach of the Cape Fear Community College Sea Devils. The college coaching industry is a transient professions where I moved thirteen times as a coach which has helped transfer a lot of intuitiveness into my real estate career. Over my life I have climbed the ladder and paid my dues with every endeavor I have taken on. As a coach, I took three losing programs and transformed them into winners using a mantra I also employ in my real estate career... INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE, & SERVICE! I treat the real estate professional just like the coaching profession and I want to serve my clients the best way possible to help them achieve their goals and dreams doing things the right way!
In addition to my passion for real estate and basketball, I am also active in the community with a number of non-profit, charitable, and professional organizations such as...
* Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
* UNCW Seahawk Club
* Northside Baptist Church
* Wilmington Waves Youth Basketball
* Boy Scouts of America
* Member: National Association of REALTORS
* Member: North Carolina Association of REALTORS
* Member: Wilmington Regional Association of REALTORS
I grew up in northern Iowa and was part of the Rockford (Iowa) High School 1988 State Tournament Team. Upon completing an Associate of Arts degree at North Iowa Area Community College in Mason CIty, Iowa, I pursued a degree in Athletic Administration from Iowa State University and initiated my college coaching stint at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa. After a two-year tenure at DMACC, I joined the Marshalltown Community College staff and graduated from Iowa State in 1997 and earning a Master's Degree from Iowa State in 2005 with an emphasis in Athletic Administration. In 2000, I moved to Kansas joining the Pratt Community College staff until being hired at Cape Fear Community College in 2002.
